Searching for the New Oil

First, the British exploited coal and made an industrial revolution in the process.  Then the Americans found oil and turned it into a universal fuel. Then they turned natural gas, a byproduct of oil exploration, into a major business. But, most would agree, that the rate of growth of the oil and gas market has peaked.
