High gas prices will persist for the next three years, warned investment bank Stifel, as millions of households struggle with the cost of living crisis. Supply chain disruption and spiraling liquefied natural gas (LNG) prices will provide a lethal combination for the UK energy industry, amid global volatility, with gas prices expected to remain as high as 75 pence per therm in 2025.
