U.S. petroleum consumption declined to 18.1 million barrels per day (bpd) last year, the lowest level in 25 years, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Thursday. Petroleum consumption in the transportation sector plunged by a record-breaking 15 percent in 2020 compared to a year earlier.
